McBee was pulled as a universal crew swing at Jersey Boys and at A Sherlock Carol. Doing all we could to keep the shows open, McBee was quickly trained on many crew tracks from props, carpentry, to audio, automation, and lighting.

Feature Films in Oklahoma
When Covid shut down Broadway, Off-Broadway, and all live theatre in March of 2020, McBee found herself on a plane to Oklahoma to work on a feature film in August 2020. That was the first of many. Finding the skills transferred beautifully, McBee worked on seven feature films from August 2020 through early June 2021. Working primarily as a Production Coordinator, and a bit as a UPM.

The summer and fall kept me quite busy with new musicals and revivals, and remounts. A beautiful new musical, ValueVille came to life in NYC this summer. Followed by a wonderful revival of Ain't Misbehavin' directed by Hunter Foster, and choreographed by Lorin Latarro. I can think of no better way to spend my October, than with a brilliant remount of The Rocky Horror Show at Bucks County Playhouse.
Following those musicals, I donated my time to be part of the Stage Management team for The Actors Fund benefit concert of Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. And I rang in the new year working in Times Square for the broadcast of NYE. It was cold, a lot of work, but great fun! The theme of the night was "Judgment free". So, Happy Judgment Free 2015!

I have been subbing as the Audio Engineer on Murder For Two. Go see it before it closes! Perhaps you'll catch me at the board.
I spent the winter Production Stage Managing the New York premier of a wonderful new play by Carla Ching, called Fast Company. It's been awhile since I've worked on a play, and it was a very smartly written, fast-paced, suspenseful, comedy that was delicious to work on. Directed by Robert Ross Parker and featuring Stephanie Hsu, Mia Katigbak, Christopher Larkin and Moses Villarama.

SILENCE! The Musical
Mixing this hilarious parody!
SILENCE! The Musical is a hilarious parody based on the Academy Award winning film. Rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter in order to catch the serial killer known as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. This laugh-out-loud naughty satire features a singing chorus of floppy eared lambs narrating the action as Buffalo Bill gleefully dances a hoedown while kidnapping hapless Catherine Martin. Even Dr. Lecter, scary as ever, sings about the life he’d like to lead someday outside the prison walls.
Fueled by a rabid cult following since the songs debuted online in 2002, SILENCE! was expanded into a live stage show and shattered every box-office record at the 2005 FringeNYC Festival. Winner of the NYCFringe's Best Musical Award, SILENCE! The Musical combines whip-smart dialogue and shocking songs to make a musical parody of The Silence of the Lambs that's sure to be popular with seasoned fans of the movie and FBI rookies alike.

Broadway Donations Brigade
The Broadway community comes together for something greater than their latest show… Fellow Americans in need!
Broadway Donations Brigade began when Rebecca McBee, audio engineer & stage manager, was sitting at home feeling helpless in the days following Superstorm Sandy. Utilizing the knowledge of our industry, and reaching out to fellow stage managers Kat West and Mary Leach we began our journey, knocking on stage doors. AEA & Local 1 members were thrilled to donate one show used batteries. Word spread, and the Broadway and Off-Broadway community came together in bringing donations to the theatres where the Broadway Donations Brigade would come pick them up and get them to local Evacuation Centers who were in desperate need. They have also been working with Jen Cody & Hunter Foster who have been taking donated items directly to those in Staten Island, one of the hardest hit areas.
If you would like to volunteer or have donations (batteries, toiletries, cleaning supplies) for pick up at a stage door in NYC, please contact McBee at [email protected] For monetary donations, please give directly to Jen Cody & Hunter Foster through their PayPal account, [email protected] which they will be using to purchase and deliver supplies needed in Staten Island.
